At Karura Community Centre, we believe sports are more than games — they are powerful tools for transformation.
The Karura Youth Sports Association (KYSA) uses football and other sports to teach life skills, leadership, teamwork, and resilience among young people.
Through organized leagues, mentorship sessions, and school-based outreach, KYSA reaches hundreds of boys and girls each year, helping them discover purpose, discipline, and faith both on and off the field.

To nurture youth who are physically strong, mentally resilient, and spiritually grounded.
KYSA exists to reduce vulnerability among young people by:

KYSA works with 13 schools across 6 zones, organizing regular matches, coaching clinics, and mentorship sessions.
An annual league where youth from different communities compete, learn teamwork, and build character.
A special focus on empowering girls through mentorship and access to sanitary products, ensuring they stay in school with confidence and dignity.
Through sports and mentorship, I have learned important life values. KYSA has helped shape me into a more confident and responsible person.
Being part of KYSA has helped me grow in discipline and teamwork. It has kept me focused and given me a positive environment to develop my talents.

I am truly grateful for you invested in my education and at the end I have attained a good grade which will enable me to pursue my desired career in Nursing.

You have planted a seed of hope and generosity that will continue to grow within me, inspiring me to achieve more and also give back.

Thank you for walking this journey with me and for going out of your way to support my education. Your generous support and effort in ensuring my campus life was smooth meant more to me than words can express.

I would also like to give back to Tumaini at any given time so as to support the Mission and help other students benefit as I did.
