The Micro Enterprise Development (MED) Program empowers individuals from less privileged backgrounds to build sustainable livelihoods through business training, startup support, and ongoing mentorship.
The program identifies aspiring or current small business owners who lack the skills or capital to grow their enterprises, equips them with practical knowledge, and provides the initial support needed to help them establish economic stability.
The goal is simple yet transformative: to help individuals run their businesses effectively so they can earn a dignified living and break free from poverty.

Participants undergo structured training that covers:

After completing the training, eligible beneficiaries receive:
Seed funding to help launch a small business.
Essential tools or supplies tailored to each enterprise.
Support to help start, manage, and grow sustainably.
Having a mentor walk with me through my business journey made a big difference. I have learned how to manage and grow my income sustainably.”
The training and support I received helped me start my small business. I am now able to provide for my family with confidence.

I am truly grateful for you invested in my education and at the end I have attained a good grade which will enable me to pursue my desired career in Nursing.

You have planted a seed of hope and generosity that will continue to grow within me, inspiring me to achieve more and also give back.

Thank you for walking this journey with me and for going out of your way to support my education. Your generous support and effort in ensuring my campus life was smooth meant more to me than words can express.

I would also like to give back to Tumaini at any given time so as to support the Mission and help other students benefit as I did.
